Founded in 1936, Jones Family of Companies is a leader in the textile industry. The company was formed through a partnership between two brothers and today is led by a third generation family member and Senior Leadership team committed to the same high standards as the founder. The company has two distinct divisions: Jones Yarn and Jones Nonwovens and is headquartered in Humboldt, TN.
Their focus, however, often extends far beyond themselves and into the streets of Humboldt. A platinum sponsor of the Strawberry Festival, Jones supports numerous organizations and events for the betterment of the Humboldt community. Members of the Jones’ team volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club of Humboldt. They also provide ongoing support for Humboldt High School athletics, youth Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth baseball leagues, youth basketball leagues, the Humboldt Public Library and the West Tennessee Regional Art Center.
Jones Family of Companies strongly believes in supporting education. Last year, Jones provided full financial support for ten students from Humboldt High School to attend the National Leadership Academy founded by Tommy Spaulding. This year, the school has identified more future leaders that will benefit from the National Leadership Academy, and Jones will sponsor them as well. The company has endowed a scholarship program to provide financial support for Jones' associates and their dependents to attend community colleges and universities in Tennessee. The company received the Chancellor's Award for excellence in philanthropy from the State University and Community College System of Tennessee in 2014, due in part to contributions to the Jackson State Community College Foundation for non-traditional student scholarships, and they were instrumental in bringing the Jackson State Community College Higher Education Center to Humboldt.
“One of our core values is ‘Corporate Stewardship,’” said Ralph Jones. “That means being engaged in our community and participating as good citizens. We are honored to be a part of the Humboldt community and strive to serve its people any way we can.”
